Fanservice is a misunderstood concept.

Well, the reason I imagined Roll is because she's always been a staple in the classic series. Bass is a concept from the newer series.

Spoiler Below
But worrying about Roll doesn't matter now. According to a couple Wikis I looked at, Bass is confirmed.

Not surprised it's Bass. I'm actually more surprised he wasn't in 9. Aside from the blueprints in the ending.

Wonder if this series will come to an end soon. The only series that really ever ended was Battle Network, which gave way to Star Force.

I get this, "THIS IS OUR FINAL MISSION" feeling from hearing about 3 playable characters, though I don't know why.

also, I don't think Bass is confirmed at all.

Cool. I was really pretty happy either way, honestly, but this is great news. Oh, btw, Bass is still from the original series, as he came about in MM7, long before the classic series' long hiatus.

^ "- Mega Man is looking for a vaccine-making device to fight the 'Robotenza', which causes robots to overheat and go crazy."

"The plot will revolve around finding vaccine to cure berserk robots; try to guess the source of the virus."

It sounds similar to the Maverick Virus from MMX. And you're right; it does have that "THIS IS OUR FINAL MISSION" feel.

Could be a prototype of Wily's original Zero Virus, which developed into the Sigma Virus. (I think...)I'm honestly kinda doubting they'll do any bridging as much as just go, "AND EVERYONE WAS HAPPY, YOU WON'T SEE THEM DIE NOPE"

Mere mention of the Zero Virus/Sigma Virus brings back memories. It will be interesting to see if this virus goes the same way that anyone familiar with the X series (which, in my mind, ended at 5, though I still played 6 and 8) probably thinks it will.

It has been stated by the series creators that Zero most definately DID NOT kill the original cast. They debunked that little peice of fan theory around the time MM9 was in the works.

Of course, they still never bothered explaining what did happen to them.

I've been swishing this around in my head for a while, but I kind of have a theory. Maybe Bass was killed or badly injured...and Wily used his body to make Zero. Or, it's possible that Bass was used to make Vile.
Spoiler Below
But more likely Zero, since Wily made Zero.

Bass saw Zero's body as he was being made, so I don't think so.

And Vile is just a reploid.

Yeah... I was thinking maybe it was just designs or something, or maybe Wily used Bass' mind for the body. I dunno, just thought that would be cool.

Commando Man has been confirmed.

Any relation to Bionic Commando? Oh, Capcom, you sneaky devils...

Obviously, Sheep Man is an unstoppable force. He storms the battlefield and shears the do-gooders like so much excess wool. Dr Light, sensing his own doom rapidly approaching, hides away his last project in a capsule.

Nintendo 2010 Line-Up Shows Mega Man 10 in March

Quote:
We have a better idea of when to expect Mega Man 10, thanks to an early 2010 release list from Nintendo. The listing shows the game coming to WiiWare in March. This seems pretty soon considering we only just heard about the title, but these smaller 8-bit style retro games probably run on quick development cycles, so we're not too worried about Capcom missing the target.

The majority of the list is composed of retail and downloadable games that we already knew were coming, though a few more titles get pegged with more specific release dates. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars is slated for January 26, and Endless Ocean: Blue World is coming February 22. In downloadables, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is coming to WiiWare in January, and Super Meat Boy is following sometime in Q1. Finally, for the DS, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver will come on March 14, and Bejeweled Twist is due sometime in Q1.
Sweet.
