I want to play Gamecube games on my Wii,

I have this 59 block memory card that I bought. I tried to save a Wind Waker file to it, but every time I save they ask if I want to create a save block. In other words, the game doesn't actually save! This is a problem and I need help. Here's what it says:

Would you like to save?

Yes.

Would you like to create a save file for TWW on the Memory Card in Slot A?

Yes.

Now creating a save file. Do not touch the memory card or the POWER button.

A save file has been created.

Would you like to save?

Yes.

Would you like to create a save file for TWW on the Memory Card in Slot A?

Yes.

etc, etc, etc

I press reset and the thing isn't saved. What's wrong with the thing?

Any help would be great. Thanks. -CSM

check the memory card through the wii itself, see if it's used up or if everything's okay

also just get a 1019, much easier

^I checked and I didn't see anything. Also I don't know where to get 1019 memory cards, how much they cost, or if people even make them anymore. -CSM

If they don't have them at GameStop, then try to branch out to to lesser-known places, or go online.

You probably got a faulty memory card. Try returning it and getting a bigger one; 59 blocks will get you about 10 games even if you only play the ones with the smallest save files.

A lot of third party memory cards don't work right with Wind Waker. That could also be the problem if it's not official.

I agree, get 1019. I got one, it's the greatest thing ever. It's not third-party, and that could be the problem.

I tried that.

Also I'm gonna ask my brother to bring me my memory card from home. It's the one that came with the Gamecube (I think). Do those work with the Wii? -CSM

They should, I have two memory cards I moved from my Gamecube to my Wii and they both work fine.

You need to check system faults. I know that for a fact at least 2 games that have problems on wii. First it was Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Tales of Symphonia. I'd give tech support a call. It might be the difficulty that causes it or just a fault that you can download a patch for free. I love Nintendo Tech Support.

It's probably just Wind Waker, if it's a 3rd party. Try the card with another game, preferably a 3rd party one, or an older Nintendo release like Luigi's Mansion.

If you have a GCN, try the card with Windwaker in that as well to make sure it's not the Wii. Also, try them with another Wii if you have access to one to see if it's not just your system.

I have a large 3rd party memory card, I think 1019 blocks, that doesn't work with WW at all. I have an official original release card that works fine with WW, though, so I used that with WW.
