Iwata Calls iPad "a Bigger iPod Touch"

"How is that going to look to other people?" Finally, Iwata continued to distance himself from recent reports of a successor to the DS, as well as the persistent HD Wii rumors. "I question whether those features would be enough to get people to buy new machines," he said. He did mention that Nintendo is working on new hardware, but didn't give details.

I hold in my hand right now an iPod Touch I bought with my tax refund last year.

Mr. Jobs, I challenge you to convince me that it's worth having both an iPod Touch and iPad.

What I already have on my iPod Touch:

Music, pictures, Kindle for iPhone/iPod Touch (Only Rise of the Lich King, I have most of the other Warcraft books in paperback), smorgasbord of games, Blizzard Authenticator, the basic apps that came built in (Email, Maps, Weather, Safari, Youtube), AIM, ~~plenty of sexy women,~~ and, above all, a ****ing Lightsaber app. All in a nicely sized iPod, and no goddamn contract.

(Yes, I know the first iPad will be Wi-fi)
