Nintendo Would "Happily" Make Kid Icarus Wii with Right Idea

Nintendo Would "Happily" Make Kid Icarus Wii with Right Idea

Quote:
For years, Nintendo fans have begged for a new Kid Icarus game only to see their wishes go unanswered (or mysteriously be told to be patient). Now according to Yoshio Sakamoto -- one of the original Kid Icarus creators -- the problem may be that fans just aren't asking hard enough.

"I don't know personally about any project underway regarding Kid Icarus," Sakamoto said to Kotaku, "but if so many of those people are interested in it and really want to see it on the Wii they should really speak up." Um...haven't they kind of been doing that already?

But don't fret, Kid Icarus fans -- Sakamoto also said a new Kid Icarus game on the Wii is still a possibility, so long as they had the right idea. "If we can find some sort of way to bring it to the Wii, a way to make the game for the Wii that makes sense, we would happily do so," he said. "But just keep in mind it may not be me making the game."

So...anyone have any ideas for Nintendo on how to make the perfect Kid Icarus game on the Wii?
Bummer, they're not working on a Kid Icarus Wii game. At least they're leaving the option open, though.

If they made a Kid Icarus game for the Wii, what would you want it to be like?

More of the same came to my mind but that feels like it's some kind of cheating.

Could they not make some kind of classic cameo extravagansa over it, i mean pit is an angel that = flying.

and mountains are way up in the sky, so why not make ice climbers and pit do something togheter somehow, for example ice climbers is doing what they do best and up there they find that eggplant they almost always find at the top of the mountain, turns out to be the eggplant wizzard from kid icarus (if i remeber right he was the big bad in that one) frees him and now ice climbers have to go to the wery big mountain of olumpus to warn pit about their little mistake.

I really want to throw in some Metroid to only because the first metroid and Kid icarus shared the same game engine (sorta).

Se that i thought up in a matter of minutes so i don't know if it's only a matter of Nintendo wanting to check out what the fans want to have or The fans trying to shout over eachothers voices.

Maybe have Team Ninja do it?

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

2.5 D graphics, or maybe something similar to the graphic-style of Wario Land: Shake it!. Side-scrolling, and third-person parts, like Metroid: Other M.

Use the M:OM engine for it. The first Kid Icarus was made with an unfinished version of the Metroid engine, anyway.

Pit could be in his 30's right now, working as a secretary at a law firm, and the objective of the game is to complete all of his paperwork in an orderly and timely fashion WHILE setting up appointments with clients and telling them which was the bathroom is. It starts out slow, but the gameplay really picks up until the final boss, which is actually a ten-page legal document that needs to be filled out and signed in less than five minutes while a very rude woman keeps trying to get past you into your boss's office.

Pit leads a force of mostly forgotten Nintendo characters into battle against Nintendo's big name stars in a despret bit to avoid plummeting into obscurity. Sounds like a fun Turn baised tactical RPG to me.

Yeah, he'd end up fighting reservation casinos and the Amish, along with the occasional hippy. That would be a strange game.
