Sharp debuts new 3D lcd touchscreen, to be used in 3DS?

Kotaku had a little story about this:

Will The Nintendo 3DSi Screen Look Like This? | Kotaku Australia

It's likely going to be what Nintendo's dealing with to make the new 3DS system. For any possible latecomers; Nintendo has announced that they are working on a 3D sequel to the DS which will not require polarized glasses as most of the recently advertised 3D screens make use of.

What I heard rumours of was that the 3D would go the other way, instead of out at you. *shrugs* I guess that means those players who can only see out of one eye would be able to enjoy it.

Well, it's not actually typical in digital 3D for the graphics to "pop out" of the screen. Most stereoscopic effects are used to create an illusion of depth. Hollywood is a completely different case.

And mono-visual persons can't observe depth of any manner, so yeah it's good that the 3-dimensional depth is restricted to location rather than a shutter effect.

^ Nintendo probably won't price it above 200 USD at launch.

Here's another theory from Kotaku that basicly involves head tracking.
Is This How 3D Will Work On The Nintendo 3DS? - Nintendo 3ds - Kotaku

Cool effect, but somehow I don't think this is what nintendo is refering to...
Still, it's something.
