Also they're promising split-screen multiplayer, which I am actually pretty psyched about: ![]() I personally liked the storyline and elements that went into the Conduit. It was a memorable experience for me, and I think that more developers need to take the risk of launching new franchises on Nintendo's platforms. The big N themselves should take notice. |

Have a look at some of them, folks: ^ Here's some various bits of footage in between on of the HVS guys talking up the game's features, etc. ^ This ones a trailer of multiplayer footage. According to a few sources I've read, they're aiming at giving the game a much more open environments that aren't as corridor-oriented as the first game, and they're claiming to be giving this game a much less generic feel than the first Conduit. Sounds like the best of intentions, and like they took a lot of the criticism to heart. The environments are also looking very different, apparently there's supposed to be quite a few new locations. Also, I've read that the audio is being kicked up to a 48khz frequency, over the Wii's typical 32khz. That's actually a very big jump in audio, and I'm a bit surprised the Wii keeps the audio such a low frequency. Must usually be for memory conservation in part, but still. | ||||

I've yet to be impressed by anything I've heard about it, and it's coming out at a time when better developers are creating better FPSs for other consoles. |

I dunno, I'm not very jaded about what FPS games are supposed to be like. I don't play a ****ton of them, and I really like Doom 3, and I don't ask for much except a ton of action and some flashy stuff to look at. It delivered well enough in that respect, and it was pretty cool how it had the whole DC theme to it which hasn't been done to death in games like SOVIET MISSILE BASE has. Goldeneye was cool, stylistically, for 1997. |

But at the same time, I really don't feel like buying it again. I'm definitely interested in the sequel, though. Creativity is a good thing to strive for, after all. |

Apparently the tech they needed to show off the Grinder at E3 had to be substituted for the Conduit 2 module, since they're contractually bound to Sega for Conduit 2 and the actual Conduit 2 tech they brought fried itself. Grinder Wii didn't get a display because of that, since they didn't have another one. |

The game was published by Sega, so there is nothing wrong here. John Adams can't stop this brain from blasting through conspiracies, nope. |
