How nice. No real trailer to show anymore because of Activision. But it's real, nonetheless. Trailer had it due for November. it also said that Daniel Craig will be Bond. I saw what I saw, and I read what I read. Trailer looked legit. Last edited by X-3; 06-14-2010 at 06:33 PM. |

It seems to be updating a few things and making the game a little more functional for the times. We'll see if it holds up though. |

I dunno, I was too busy playing PC fps for years prior and after for it to stick out in my mind - it was just generic with a kind of questionable film tag on it, IMO. |

Goldeneye has a sense of place to me, and it's mission-based levels were fun to play. |

The first truly decent FPRPG was probably Ultima Underworld, which came out in 92, although that is a medieval-style action RPG more than just a vanilla FPS. System Shock was out in 94, and had complex plot and gameplay, although it as well is an FPS RPG. Strife was, afaik, a single-environment sandbox FPS RPG game with full interaction and objective-oriented play style in 96, and it features more contemporary elements. It was based off the Doom engine. Dark Forces had objective-oriented gameplay, and was released in 96. So did Quake II, and it was released the same year as 007, in 97. Hell, Half-Life came out the year after Goldeneye in 98, along with Starsiege: Tribes. That year, my personal favorite, Shogo: Moible Armor Division was released. Not only was it entirely Mission oriented, but it also had alternate endings and allowed you to pilot huge manga-style mechs in a full city environment. :3 Honestly, I think Goldeneye only got so much attention because it was the first console FPS that wasn't some lazy port, and that's about it. Time playing split-screen Mario Kart 64 was better spent, IMO, and I honestly had more fun Quake 64's splitscreen deathmatch than I did in Goldeneye, as far as the 64 is concerned. Lightning gun + Nail gun = awesome success. Everyone always playing with golden gun on = D: Last edited by Cosmonautical; 06-15-2010 at 10:29 AM. |
