Must have games for 3DS virtual console

I just thought of a bunch of games from the Game Boy library that Nintendo would be smart to put on the 3DS virtual console at some point.
  1. Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages
  2. Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
  3. Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
  4. Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters
  5. Pokemon Red/Blue
  6. Pokemon Gold/Silver

Is there anything else that should be added to this list?

The Wario Land Series would be pretty good to put on there. They should definitely put on Pokemon Red/Blue and Gold/Silver.

Are they including GBA games on there? I know a lot more GBA games than GB/GBC games...

Why'd we skip the first Super Mario Land?

I have to say it. I'm DarkZero.

The Mega Man GB series.

This list suffers a lack of Metroid II: Return of Samus. For crying out loud, it's the extermination of the Metroids save the one that's been vital to the series since.

Frankly, the original Gameboy is questionable in quality. I think the VC should ABSOLUTELY have super gameboy support. If it doesn't I'll just stick to emulator like I always have.

But seriously?

I DEMAND A VIRTUAL BOY EMULATOR FOR THE VIRTUAL CONSOLE. You guys need to play Wario Land VB. And Telero Boxer. That **** was so cash.

Virtual Boy emulation is really only suited to the 3DS - I think they should go for it.

I didn't include those two in the list since they have already been planned for the 3DS virtual console around launch time. I think they're including the DX version of Link's Awakening, which I think is the best of the handheld Zeldas.

Does that include the two Xtreme games? That suggestion is good either way, though.

That's a good one as well. I haven't played that much of it, but from what I've played, it's pretty good.

Come to think of it, I think they are. That just gives me two more ideas: Both GBA Zelda games, preferably with the A Link to the Past remake having wi-fi capabilities.

These suggestions are pretty good, so far. Keep up the good work, everyone.

Gawd, two of the few games I DIDN'T have on my VB. I heard Teleroboxer had some of the best 3D use in the small VB library.

Red Alarm was kinda fun, albeit very difficult.

You can always try an emulator on PC if you're game. You'd even have the fantastic option of not playing games possessed of what's typically described as eye-searingingly-red color-schema. I haven't found one with decent audio support yet, however. Not a ton of Virtual Boy fans.

Have you ever played Vertical Force? That was a pretty cool shooter game, similar to Ikaruga in premise. I agree that Red Alarm could have been good, but it suffered from a Terminal-Velocity-esque control scheme and lacked flat-shading which the Virtual Boy should have been capable of performing. You can blame the system's low color palette and prerequisite of dithering for that, I suppose.

Isn't that due to that the Virutal boy handled sound in a very weird way?

^^ Haven't played it, but from the looks of it, it reminds me a bit of Star Soldier. Which makes sense since both were made by Husdon Soft.

I don't believe so. I think the issue mostly stems from nobody with decent enough knowledge of sound hardware emulation signed on. Sound can be just as difficult as the graphical aspects to emulate, and it's usually left to specialists.

true that, and when it comes to games i really think that they search mainly for some graphical progress before they go for the audio.

i get back to more i lost my line of thought on this one.
