Nintendo announce stand for 3DS Kid Icarus

This is intended to make Kid Icarus playable:

Kid Icarus: Uprising Will Be Bundled With A Stupid Stand! | Kotaku Australia

As I stated after trialing the demo version of the game during Nintendo's 3DS tour, the game is near impossible to play with 3D on, as it requires you to hold the system one-handedly. The gameplay would be fine with a second analogue for aiming. It will not use the second analogue, because Nintendo pulled that out of their asses for the Monster Hunter deal without mentioning it to the team on Kid Icarus.

This is not a solution. Kids - don't get this game. It's got serious problems.

that kind of contradicts the statement that a handheld console have I.E BEING ABLE TO PLAY WITH IT WITH YOUR HANDS, this is as usefull as those keyboardaddons to a freaking Ipad and similar products.

Well, it does actually. Just...not for the reason anyone really expects/wants.

Some games simply aren't really made for handhelds...remember Metroid Prime: Hunters?

That said, I might actually use that stand sometimes.

Seems pretty useless to me. I mean, I'm holding my 3DS here with my left hand and a stylus in my right as if I was playing the game, and I'm having no problem with it, even with 3D on. And I remember Metroid Hunter's controls with the stylus aiming working fine for me, it just had a bit of a learning curve. Maybe the stand's for people with weak fingers, or abnormally small hands, I don't know.

That being said, I do wish (as most do) Nintendo had thought of adding a second analog stick to the 3DS itself, instead of it being a clunky add-on.

Sprite, you might be an exception but from my direct experience with the demo of the game it's not something that works like you'd hope. The camera controls for the ground section are absolutely horrible with the stylus, anyway.
