| Guest Posts: n/a | This probably goes against everything an OG is, but I want to try it anyway. We take three different types of OG posts: 1 - Intro/Plot development 2 - Plot Development 3 - Battles 1 would introduce the characters as they come, good, bad, an' neutral. They'd also make sure the posts don't get too boring by making little changes they think would make the story run better or more suspenseful (this would include correcting any mistakes like saying one thing about a character when it has already been stated that the opposite is true). They'd be editors of sorts, so it would be nice to have some mod help on this, but we wouldn't be horribly off if we didn't get it. The edits would be made to a copy o' the archives. If you're a 1, make sure it's not too cliched. 2 would write the bulk o' the story. A few battle scenes here an' there, but mostly puzzles or drudging through the desert, you know, the paste between intros an' battles. They'd develop the plot in a more active way than 1's editting. Humorous posters or those who are average or mediocre at OGing should be 2's. 3 would come in and put the characters to battle after 1 or 2 had introduced a new bad guy or the like. They might not take every battle, but certainly the most important. If you're a 3, make it interesting. One might compare the children's shows Pokémon's and Digimon's battles... whereas Digimon is straight-forward "get stronger until something works" or "do everything at once," Pokémon is a bit more original. The hero thinks, sometimes seeming way too intelligent for it to be him. He also loses, but not after putting up a fight. There's not many battles where he loses because someone is a billion times more powerful than him, and he always has to work for his victories. I hope to see little to no battles where the heroes are extremely weak then extremely strong, but when they happen, the lack o' them will make it ever more dramatic. There you have it. They'd all hafta work together. I hope I don't end up putting down anybody, but it would be nice to see an OG put together with everyone doing what they do best. I want everyone to be able to say to some people "you can't do that, someone had to tell you that you aren't really good at this-or-that," and then either people agree or disagree, but please don't be harsh. You can go to the Battle Forum for that. Now, any volunteers? [ April 24, 2003, 12:01 PM: Message edited by: Rhyk the Golem Cyborg ] |

| Guest Posts: n/a | Naw, I guess fights don't have to be completely serious, as long as they are, for the most part, done within the boundaries o' sanity. Use your best judgement! ^_^ GORE, if you're not sure, usually I'd suggest being a 2, but we don't exacly have a shortage o' them right now... ( ^_^;;; ) Would you mind being a 1? Oh yeah, I forgot! Before a 1 can start off the story, we have to know who all's going to be in the story. Cast: Writer Introbulus, Jim, and/or Phil (use at your discretion, whoever starts the story) Fred, Somebody Else, and/or Absolutely Nobody (use at your discretion, whoever starts the story) Post who you want in the story an' I'll edit them into the cast list. If it's someone that's not a famous character and not already in the Character Bios topic, please post a bio. ^_^ [ April 25, 2003, 04:55 PM: Message edited by: Rhyk the Golem Cyborg ] |

| Guest Posts: n/a | I'd like at least one of my characters in the story. Introbulus: Could be a hero or a crazy random char. Probably a hero, though. Jim: Although he usually plays as a hero, he could always act as one of the evil villans/evil minions! He's very versitle. Phil the Gnome: Miscellanious? Well, maybe. But Phil also has a HUGE evil streak that has never been explored! Anything from a Supervillian to a lowely minion of evil, Phil will to anything even remotely evil! Skippy the beer-drinking bear: Wait, this isn't my character. Nevermind. |

Don't worry, my fights can be extremly serious or it can be total nonsense or both at the same time. Fred: Ooh! Ooh! Ohhh! Pick me! Someone Else: Don't use me. Or your socks are fried. Use Fred for comic relief, and a character that doesn't have every single power period. Absoloutly Nobody: If you use me, it will hurt in the morning. Really. Well, Fred could be more of a neutral, an evil lackey, or a good guy. He works in all situations, and all he has going for him is brute strength and a really styling poser-ish hammer. He shall be a character. Golem: Ok, I think you've all had a bit too much time in the spotlight. Get off. (Shoves off stage) |

| Guest Posts: n/a | You should probably put Someone Else's and Absolutely Nobody's bios in the Character Bios topic. Or am I just missing some blatant joke? |

| Guest Posts: n/a | Hmmm, now that I think about it, maybe I should be a one instead? Er, what do you think, Rhyk? |

| Guest Posts: n/a | Fine, I'll be a one. And AN and SE's bios are in the Character Bios. Right on top of the second page. |

| Guest Posts: n/a | I guess it's because I'm best with changing the plot to fit the storyline and throwing in twists (aka, "plot-molding"), but not so good with introducing characters, which seems to be the main duty of a #1. Unless I'm horribly and utterly mistaken. Am I? |
