I think I've made at least ten of my closest friends paranoid for life since introducing them to the ARG. I love it. It's so great that what would have otherwise been some random creepypasta meme turned out to be one of the better "mythical monsters" of our age. I've become such a fan that I have my own theories and **** as to the solution to the mysteries at foot, but I won't go on about that. |

I was reading the main page and, being a reader of Lovecraft, TOTALLY CRACKED UP when they mentioned "A researcher from Miskatonic University". |

He's plays a lot of ARGs, and has been involved in all of the major Slenderman themed ones thus far. And yes, he's obviously a Lovecraft fan. |

If you watch it, be sure to bring an extra change of pants. Also, MarbleHornets on YouTube just released Entry #25 for all of us Slender-fans. ![]() ![]() |

It looked like he was standing near a tree while they were shooting footage of the fire. |

I'm waiting to lure an unsuspecting friend into watching all of the MarbleHornets videos with me (so I can view them for the collective one-billionth time) to sate my thirst for this, but it's so damn good that it's gonna be hard to let them enjoy their little hiatus. If anyone's interested, they did a Q&A on the SomethingAwful thread about MH. No story related stuff, just behind the scenes. They didn't drop any deets about part 2, either. But man. Does my breath smell bated? Yes. |

Slender Man needs a new theme song. *Candy Man music* Who can 'nap your children? Impale them in a tree? Cover them in blood and leave an organ bag or three? The Slender Man! The Slender Man's here! The Slender Man's here and he has one goal in mind: To invoke your darkest fear! Who can take a black suit, Wrap it in a tie? You can never see his face; it doesn't matter if you try. The Slender Man! The Slender Man's here! The Slender Man's here and he has one goal in mind: To invoke your darkest fear! The Slander Man would kill Just for a thrill! He's your manifested terror. Ubiquitous but nowhere! Talk about a childhood nightmare! Who can take the darkness, Rip it with your screams? Magnify the horror and implant it in your dreams. The Slender Man! The Slender Man can! The Slender Man can 'cause he's waiting in your room And he knows when you'll be home. |

It's probably the real reason they disabled the comments. I wanted to kick a puppy every time I saw "NO WIFIN IN DA CLUB". :P What's really scary about [The Operator] (his in-universe name) is that nobody really knows what the **** he does to you. Aside from the paranoia and some suggested deaths, in the Marble Hornets universe his presence isn't so much deadly as it is ominous and terrifying. That's so much scarier, for some reason, than if he just popped up and ripped some dude's throat out onscreen. Other versions of Slender Man haven't shied away from violence (especially the Just Another Fool variant), but man... MarbleHornets Part 2 can't come soon enough. |

Don't forget that [most people say] even H.P. Lovecraft believed in the stuff he wrote. |

e: also HP Lovecraft didn't believe in things he was writing, he had a psychosomatic disorder that caused him to have night terrors which inspired his horror writing. also later in life he suffered from hysteria and depression (and racism :/) Last edited by heh; 06-11-2010 at 03:03 PM. | |

I kinda figured they were from my neck of the woods, because Tim has a thick southern accent and Alex and J aren't far off from having one themselves. I think it's pretty cool that the series is and has been filmed only about 2 hours and change away from where I live, though. Last edited by Galefore; 07-06-2010 at 08:36 PM. |

If you're trying to say that they were convincing the people in the thread, they weren't. Nor were they doing the convincing in the thread. They were going to convince everybody else outside the thread. Of course they couldn't do it in the thread itself! That's why they put him on YouTube and the Marble Hornets wiki. |

In the mean-time, the "EverymanHYBRID" series on Youtube is a cute distraction and should keep you busy enough while you wait for more MH stuff. |
