By all means suggest themes for next week, and please comment! Galactic Civilizations II Galactic Civilizations II is a turn-based strategy game with a science-fiction theme, comparable in various ways to Master of Orion II. The game has recieved favorable reviews, and the demo is exceedingly nice in that it allows you to play an entire game/set/match. A large portion of the game has been removed, but nothing that significantly appears to remove from gameplay. I have had a great deal tinkering around with it, especially with the ship constructor, which allows a great deal of customization. Rise of Legends Rise of Legends is a real-time strategy game, a sequel of sorts to the popular Rise of Nations. The game is rather nice-looking, but the demo doesn't provide much, just two campaign missions and two versus maps. I found the game to be not so much fun as a cycle collecting resources for several minutes, making upgrades, collecting resources, make new unit, fight a bit, collect resources, make a building, collect resources... Very nifty at times, but also boring at others. Still, I would say it is almost worth downloading the demo just to take a look at the Vinci units. They're really cool. [Edit] Extended on account of... inactivity and absolutely no interest in a new topic either.[/Edit] Last edited by Lord Umbra; 04-13-2006 at 03:14 PM. |
