There's this new search engine called Google that will tell you these things. I forget what the URL is, so you should search for it on Google.

What everyone is trying to tell you is you can delete all you want but if it's a problem with low RAM it really won't help you.

Um, ROM (Hard drive space) or RAM (Memory)? If it's actually ROM, then get rid of some stuff. Get rid of stuff you don't use often (like Pr0n... wait, you do use that often). RAM, then get a stick of RAM and put it in your computer (as in, take it apart and put it in, not stick it in your CD drive).

I have a lappy with 4 Gbs of hard drive space, and I try to conserve space on it. It currently has 1 Gb of space (I think).

Arrow IMANERD

RAM - Random Access Memory. Short term memory used by your computer as 'scratch', so that it can perform data calculations. It is volatile; it can't permenantly store data once you turn off your PC (that's what the HDD is for).

ROM - Read Only Memory. Memory that is written rarely, but read many times. Usually reserved for permenent items like CD-ROMs and Flash ROMs

You need more RAM, end of discussion. With your lack of computer knowledge however, I wouldn't advise you installing memory into your computer, as you may end up purchasing something incompatible. Wait until you can get a new computer or something.

Go to system and tell us how much RAM you have as well if you want help.

Hit start, go to control panel, click on system, and tell us how much memory it says that you have.

Arrow Dr. Mercury's Diagnosis

Well, there's one or more problems:
  • Your computer is messed up somehow. Viruses, spyware, assorted other malware is taking up all of your RAM. Maybe you broke Windows by playing with the Registry or installing infected programs. Solution: format hard drive, re-install Windows
  • This program you're running is buggy and doesn't work for your system configuration. Solution: ask someone who knows more about computers, complain to the programmers

^Wow. That's the best computer advice I've ever heard Bartman give.
Edit: I see my sarcasm wasn't picked up.

Arrow Do not actually do this.

Sometimes your hard drive plates get all dirty, so you have to open up the case and run the platters through the dishwasher.
