My advice for the computer illiterate: Bring it to a computer repair shop |

| Marshmallow Knight ☆ Supermod | You see, there's no point in opening up the case if you're not going to mess with something. Identify what and where the RAM modules are. Sounds like you have four modules already (128, 128, 128, 64 MB sticks add up to 448) so you'd have to swap those and replace those with larger modules (say... 256). Just take 'em out and take 'em into a store; say you want more of this type. Or, buy a new computer, goober. But, seriously, I think it's a software problem. Go to task manager and kill as many processes as you can muster without causing system instability. (good luck )(If you want, you can get Hijackthis and post the results here; that could help.) |

Though you would probably have to look up the processes on the internet if you want to know if it's ok to remove them. |

O15 - Trusted Zone: http://locator.cdn.imageservr.com O15 - Trusted Zone: http://locator1.cdn.imageservr.com Looks like ad servers. Don't know why they're in your trusted zone. If you have a legal copy if WinXP, you shouldn't have to worry about WgaLogon.dll. The "SSODL: incestuously" is just confusing, but doesn't look like it's there anymore anyways. How is Trickster, anyways? Is it free? Last edited by Ace Mercury; 11-28-2006 at 08:47 PM. Reason: TMI | |

If you need RAM, deleting stuff isn't going to do crap. 2. To reduce RAM, stop unneeded startup processes. Open up Start>Run. type in "msconfig". Go to Startup. Uncheck all of the ones that you KNOW WHAT THEY ARE and don't need to start up (Quicktime, Adobe Acrobat, etc.). Look up all unknown ones in google by typing the process name into google and the extension, for instance, the Intel Graphics driver would require typing "igfxtray.exe" into google. There should be a link to what it is. Use good judgement. Don't uncheck any drivers or security software. 3. Comeoneman88, crack kills. |
