RTW: RTR mod

Does anyone else play RTW with the Rome Total Realism mod? Or does anyone still play RTW? If you still play RTW I highly suggest RTR as it adds and changes so much to become much more realistic and historically accurate than the actual game was. Even for those that moved on to MTW2 may want to check it out.

Eh. I tried it for a little, but it was too buggy for me. What worked of it was pretty awesome, I have to say.

Yeah, in the later versions the bugs have all been worked out. I haven't encountered one yet, I'm sure there are still some, but I haven't found them. Actually, the people doing it are getting an award from the European Historical Society or something like that.

That rules. The level of accuracy was incredible, from what I recall. Like, you could do research from it.

Oh, but I remember hating... there was something about it I hated. I think it was, whenever you captured a settlement you had to build up the barracks from scratch, and that took forever and pissed me off.

That's still true, but realistic. You can't expect a population to serve in your army before its been accepted into your culture, relatively speaking of course. Even happened back then, just took time before those people could trust and be trusted.

Well. I suppose. I guess that's the realism vs. fun tradeoff.
