Anyone else play Alice?

I did enjoy this game, even if that stupid Jabberwocky was annoying-as-hell.

I even hear that American McGee's Alice is among the best-selling games of all time.

Cheshire Cat has the best voice in a game ever. No denying it.
Loved the reference on the savefile screen too.

I finished it not too long ago. Gorgeous style, nice voice acting, but most of the boss fights were too long and tedious. The concept is great, but really it should've taken more than a couple of hours to finish. Adding all that delay and uninteresting maps make the game kind of a chore.

Pretty much the greatest part is seeing my friend's reaction to the game, i.e. Alice's blood soaked dress.

Yes... My boyfriend is afraid of it... I almost forced him to play but my copy doesn't work sadly... Yeah, I really like the voicing and attacking people with a knife, but the other weapons for the most part were rather annoying.

If by INSANE, you mean INSANELY drains your will meter and leaves you defenseless, then, yes, it is INSANE.

I've never played Alice, but I'll get a copy from somewhere eventually. I always thought it looked pretty neat, although I never saw why people called it so original. I thought the concept was a no-brainer.

Is it just me, or do boss-fights typically suck? I mean, you always have to do something completely alien to the rest of the gameplay style, and you always have to do the same thing three to five times.

...And on the subject of the INSANE weapons, the coolest weapons always have some ridiculous penalty for using them. Long reload times, obscene ammo consumption, whatever - developers need to redefine what they consider "balanced" gameplay mechanics.

You use it for the laser. I use it for the rocket launcher spray.

I just don't use it... I just kill everything with my knife unless I really need to use something bigger... Although... after I beat the game I played in God mode and beat the crap out of everything with the ice staff thingy-do among other massive will draining weapons...
