JK: Dark Forces II was a great game, and I've heard good things about this one too. -The Flying Fish --------------- The Aqua Ants Oasis http://www.aqua-ants-oasis.com Visit the Forums while you're there! My slow ancient PC can actually run it because they were nice enough to give those of us on 16MB GPU's support with it. The first few levels remind me of the original Dark Forces...frag up some stormtroopers and all. |

| Guest | Game is awesome. WHen you have the lightsaber in your hands and there's stormtroopers everywhere, you will feel why this game is so good. Running around pushing/picking and throwing/electricuting/controlling their minds storm stroopers with force powers while slashing away at them is just great (Especially throwing the lightsaber). The sound is great, I love when you enter a place with tons of enemies and it picks up. Lightsaber duels rule. Enough said. The only complaint is the game is not built very stable. My computer should be able to handle full graphics running at full speed, but it can't. And it takes about 5 minutes til the game runs at full speed. (Loading times are horrendus when textures are at the highest, even with computers with like a GB of RAM from what I heard.) |

The loading isn't that much of a problem to me (maybe because I'm not running all of the fancy effects, or maybe its from the 192MB RAM). My issue is when I die. I can respawn fine, but if I try to load up a saved game, it locks up and I have to restart the game. And no, the patch does not fix it. |

| Guest | Yeah, I got it where the loading is ok. It's High Textures, High geometric detail, and at 800x600. Loading quick saves only takes about 5-10 seconds. But for some reason, I have to have a "warm-up" for the game. It seems it has to be playing about 10-20 minutes until the game runs smooth, or load a save a ton of times. The patch didn't help at all, which disappointed me. Because stability and performance issues are the only big problems with everybody. I thought the first patch would be to work on that. MMM- Wasup. I don't know if you saw it but I just decided to quit posting at VGF (I think it was October). I came back just to see how everybody thought about this game since I had just gotten it. |

Hey Cyrus, nice to see you dropping in again, even if it wasn't for that long. I'm not even sure you remember me, though. Any chance you may be able to post every now and then again? -The Flying Fish --------------- The Aqua Ants Oasis http://www.aqua-ants-oasis.com Visit the Forums while you're there! I seriously don't have the patience anymore. I've been playing xwing vs tie fighter recently. Fun **** . |

| Guest | To anybody who plays this games multiplayer and likes Nintendo, you need to try out these Nintendo maps based on the original Mario and Zelda games. They are pretty cool, even has the music. I think you can download it at www.jedioutcastmaps.com |
