Star Wars Galactic Battle Grounds

Does anyone else in the forum like it? I like it alot and play it often, btw, who do you play as the most? I usually pick random, so far ive been the gungans, empire, rebels, wookies, and naboo. And I like the naboo the most.

I've been contemplating on buying it, I;ve wanted it for a while... is it worth it if you already own AoE 2 since it runs on the same engine?

I would have to say no, unless you are a big Star Wars fan. To say that it runs off the same engine doesn't adequately describe it; This is basically the Star Wars edition of AoE 2. But, as I said, if you're a big Star Wars fan, buy it.

I think its an entirely different game. I mean, sure, you can say that its just a star wars AOE, but on that same train of thought you'd have to say Jedi Knight II and Wolfenstein are just Quake III with Star wars people and Nazis (respectively).

The game adds air units, heavy mechanized units, and turned the monks into jedi knights (who are powerful fighters and can convert). The entire defense aspect of the game has changed. You can't really wall in as easily, and blarg. You get the idea. I think its worth it.
