So what's you're opinion on this great game?

It's hella awesome. I got Play the World... it's so much fun. You'd think researching the same advances and getting the same units and building the same stuff would be boring after a while... I dunno, but it hasn't happened yet. One complaint, it does take quite a bit of time. Oh well, it's worth it. Got a game right now, I'm the Americans, looking at Flight in the 1870s... not bad... I've got about 200-300 points over the next-best civ... of course, I do play on Chieftain. (For now, at least.) What do you play on?

I usually play it on Deity or the level right under it. I tend to lead culturally by almost double my opponent, but my military usually only is enough to survive and nothing more.

Damn. I'll never be able to win on Deity. Maybe Monarch, at some point in the unforeseeable future. Probably not.

I should eventually get play the world so I can own up on people, but I have to wait to see how much books kills me for.

For some inexplicable reason, I like Civ 2 better.

^Same here. The whole resources thing gets annoying after a while. I have Civ II: Test of Time. Now that's sweet. Four game modes (Original, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Extended Original), a proper mission game (Midgard) and a scenario editor. Now if Civ III had all that, then it would be perfect.
