Myst is one of the best-selling PC games of all time. (Only the Sims has sold more, and maybe GTA3.) It's had two sequels and has been re-released twice. I myself have the Masterpiece Edition, and I have heard of another re-release with much more detailed graphics. It's been featured on TV (Remember the Simpsons Halloween episode where Homer entered the 3rd dimension? The Myst library was there.) and even inspired a spin-off, the little-known Pyst.

Do you still own this game? Tell me you do.

Ive still got it, my bro jus played and finished it jus last week.

Good ideas, good story and good puzzles make up for it being a little slow paced.

I had it. I would rather have 'Real Myst', though. It was done in real time 3D. I personally liked the music a lot.
Ever read the books? They're pretty good.

Myst was great, though I don't think I ever finished it. It's been so long since I played it that I'm not sure where I last left off, but I think I had completed three of the Ages.

I, uh, got to one or two (or three) of the Ages, didn't come close to finishing any. I have a cousin who's read the books, he said they were good... I may read them, but probably not. I know a little bit of background to the game, now, at least, though. (yep) It was an okay game, but too... difficult, really... for me.

I have the first one. This game is definitly one of my favorite games. I have played it countless times and beaten it. I have Riven too, which I believe is made by the same people as Mist. I have that one and have beaten it too.
