No love for Ragnarok Online?

...and as a measure to avoid claims that I am losing my money, I'd like to officially claim the fact that I play on private servers. Now that's out of the way...

So yeah. For about two months, I've been completely hooked to that which has been called elsewhere 'the cute MMORPG', thanks to my best friend who used to play on the original Pay-to-Play server about 3 years ago. I don't know if peeps have heard of the game, or if you have played it, or if this issue has already discussed (to death or not), but browsing briefly over the more recent pages, I found nothing that said anything about the game, and so I decided to take arms, so to speak, and proclaim that which I will call 'a game for kicks'.

That's right, 'a game for kicks'. Why do I say this? Because in most private servers, the rates for experience/drops is twisted enough so that, in some of them, it is entirely possible to create a fully-powered character in just about two hours or so, a feat that it's not even close to fathomable in the original version of the game. Personally, I play on said server, called SpiritusRO, and the rates are 7k/7k/3k (7k times the normal experience, job experience, and item drop rates from monsters, respectively), and it's true: it's completely possible to create a lv. 100 trascendant class (classes in which you need to bring your character to lv. 99, be 'reborn' at lv. 1 with bonus stats, and then brought up again at lv. 99) in just two hours' time. It's quick, the game doesn't need much capacity to run (since it's mainly sprite-based), and more importantly, it's fun.

But this is not a recruitment or advertisement thread, it seems. :/ So go ahead and post about the game, peeps. Have you heard of it? Have you played it? Got tired of the game or love it? For X or Y reason, just post!

Ragnarok isn't cute.
