The screen shots look great and some of the new ideas sound good like hometowns and stuff. Also, the time period goes on yet again. The graphics are completely different from the previous version, and while I'm more of a fan of 2D RTS's myself, the 3D they're doing with this looks terrific.

PS:It's scheduled for a 2005 release! WOOHOO!!!!

W00t!! 1337!!!! I am a huge AoE fan. Up until I got Counter Strike, AoM was my favorite game. The people at Ensemble have won my heart over for years with their fluent games. Ever since I have laid eyes upon AoM, I could not wait to get its successor. I knew it would be an even further improvement, and time has proven me correctly. With the realisticness of AoE 3, it will be an instant hit with the mainstream, and the hardcore AoE fans. I believe that going with the theme of colonzing American(am I correct?) is a wonderous idea that can only bring joy to the fans.

Where is Link galloping off to? Maybe to find Zelda? NAH! To fight Ganondorf? NAH! TO Nintendo Freaks ? Why, how did you guess! Follow him all the way there for a grand time!

Yes, the New World seems to be the theme of the game.

"The game will begin right around 1500 when the New Wrold was being colonized, and will continue through the Civil War, with a developing story line throughout its two dozen or so scenarios over three acts.In an interesting departure from the usualy formula you'll follow the story of Scottish settler Morgan Black, and trace his family's progression through the next few centuries' worth of colonial history, which will involve surviving through a series of real-world events--just not any truly gut-wrenching ones." Also, so far only three civilizations have been announced so far, England, France, and Spanish.
