I received an e-mail for pc codes with the following:

1. when i was scanning the linux server i found this secret emil address which runescape use for password recovey.It is tjcrazy@aol.com

2. I also found this code which you get the "victim's" password on.

3.type in PassRecovery as email subject and as main lettertyp in #?=No.:4658932//$%Code&"Your Username"%*==?$&} #serident6254\$$Code%"Victims Username"*$$1==?$&} E\$$Code*&%=$$#input*%"Your Password"*32&&*$==02$&}

4. i would copy & pate this but change the Your Uername, Victim's Username and Your password put what it says in. You should get it back in 48 hours

Can someone confirm it, as I have no idea what it means (please excuse my ignorance)?

That guy's trying to scam people by getting them to send their username and password to his e-mail address. Delete it.

Thank you ever so much for confirming what I already suspected. I may have to come here again for help, if you all don't mind... seems good PC sites are hard to find some information for.

Why is it that phishing scams become less believable over time?

Never, ever, EVER try and hack RuneScape, its players, or do ANYTHING against the rules. If you get hacked they can't do anything about it. They can only ban that person or delete their account. If you need RuneScape help ask me, I am a seasoned runescape player.
