I think The Diamond and Pearl Generation went overboard with the Legendary Pokemon!!!

They keep making more and more, with each generation.

For the 1st 3 the Anime always successfully included all the Legendary Pokemon at some point, but those are mostly via the movies, and there are only about 4 for each Generation tops.

But how can they logically write in a Pokemon who is basically God like Arceus.

Kanto - 5 (Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos, Mewtwo, Mew)
Johto - 6 (Suicune, Entei, Raikou, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi)
Hoenn - 10 (Regirock, Regice, Registeel, Latias, Latios, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys)
Sinnoh - 15 (Rotom, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Palkia, Dialga, Heatran, Regigigas, Giratina, Cresselia, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus)

The Legendary Pokemon have been getting significantly less legendary. In Gen I there were 5 Legendaries out of 151 total, about 3.31%.

Now we're at Gen IV, with 36 Legendaries out of 493, which is about 7.3%. That's more than double the original percentage.

Silly, ~~the CNS file~~ they're like the gods of the series, they can come up with something. (Not to say it'd be a good thing...)

Personally, I do think that they released to many, but at least you didn't require a Master Ball for most of them. (Dialga and Palkia were almost disappointingly easy in plat...)

In the next gen, I'd like to see them down to like 3 or 4 for it. Also, have a dark storyline involving the "evil" legendary attacking nearby cities and killing innocents. Also, model him after Godzilla for Japanophiles.
(Really though, that would seem cool to me... Does that make me a Japanophile?)

I believe it is, but they seem to be treating it more and more like a regular over time though...

Actually, I think he did...

Also, I stated before, that a Devil PKMN would fit well into the lore, so they haven't outdone themselves completely yet.

If you look close enough, most pokemon already look pretty Lovecraft >_>

I am against an evolution of Mewtwo, for obvious reasons. However, a second Form/Forme (or however the f*ck they spell it) for him would be very intriguing. Perhaps a much larger, buff and mindless version of him.
