I also want you guys to post any kind of ideas relating to the games. Pokémon Trainers: I think they need to play a much larger role in the battles. A few ideas of how to accomplish this would start with customizing your character. Their Gender, Age, and whether or not they are Good/Evil/Neutral would come into play. Gender: An example of how Gender would affect gameplay in battle is a Male PKMN Trainer could be more aggressive, pushing the PKMN to hit harder (Attack/Special Attack). Age: Age would help distinguish PKMN Trainers from each other, while in gameplay, it could affect a PKMN's trust in the wisdom of the elder Trainer, effectively battling with more confidence (Accuracy/Evasion). Good/Bad/Neutral: The Good/Bad/Neutral affiliation would affect a PKMN's tendencies. Perhaps an Evil Trainer would have Evil Pokémon, so maybe PKMN of differing affiliation would hurt each other more in a kind of rivalry. It would be like a subtype. Voice Commands via DS Microphone: Saying "Dodge" or "Now" during certain parts of an attack animation could help a PKMN hit or dodge, and maybe increase the chances of adding effects such as Burn with a Flamethrow (which is typically less prone to missing). Saying "Hang in there" when a PKMN is hit and their HP Bar is draining could help them hand in there with a single HP if you say it right when they have one left. Things of that nature, so there could be a lot of potential commands. Stats: I also think that PKMN Happiness, Weight, and Height should play larger roles in gameplay. Aside from Height, which would essentially be random (or you could breed larger versions of certain PKMN to increase the chances at getting the biggest or smallest ones), but you'd have more control over Weight and Happiness; these two Stats already have been in use, so merely expanding their affects is in order. But some ideas for Height in gameplay are in order. Height: Certain attacks may be less effective if a PKMN is too short, so a Punch (like Ice Punch for example) may not connect so well to a taller PKMN. On the other hand, moves like Minimize would be more effective for PKMN that are already small. And there are some of my ideas. Mostly pertaining to Trainers in gameplay and the inclusion of new stats like Height to be used in battle. What do you guys think? |

As well as some things to add. Age: Although it sounds like a good idea, there would be the problem if the player was say, two. A little kid would be braving the danger of volcanoes and going through the base of a notorious gang. And if someone decided to make their age 200, there would be a sprite of a skeleton walking around a town! Good/Evil Alignment: Maybe the character's alignment would also change their role in the game, meeting each other during their travels? Maybe the evil one would help the team in their region accomplish their goals, the good ones does the opposite, but they both go around collecting badges and such. Voice Commands: This DOES sound like a great concept, but with dodging "action commands" it would feel too much like a Mario & Luigi game. But it would be something to expirament with. Also, maybe being able to see what level the trainer wants at a GTS? That is so annoying.I would also like the ability to go to a Wi-Fi Room were you could battle strangers, kinda like the Wi-Fi Room for battle people on the Pal Pad, except with strangers. I think they should add a Light-type Pokemon, it would be super-effective against Dark and Ghost types, thereby Spiritomb would no longer be invunerable to super-effectiveness! ^ Speaking of different engines, I thought a Pokémon Tactics game would be cool as well. I made a topic about it one time. | ||||
