Professor Oak - Bulbapedia, the community-driven PokÃ©mon encyclopedia

Apparently, Prof. Oak was at one time planned to be a fightable Pokémon Trainer in Gen I of the Pokémon games, and perhaps was intended to be the Pokémon League Champion (seeing as he has most of the same Pokémon as Blue, I think it was certainly intended).

Did anybody else know this, and is there anything like this you guys know?

Bill's secret garden was supposedly some sort of secret area behind Bill's house in Red/Blue/Yellow in which you could capture all three starters, Pikablu, Pokegods, or something else depending on who you asked.

It doesn't really exist.

Oh man, that was a legend back when I was a kid. Everybody speculated about it, even kids who didn't like Pokémon.
