While playing my Platinum I caught a Gastrodon, and when the Pokedex information came up I thought it sounded odd. Checking into it, the Pearl entry is also a little strange, here what they say: Pearl: It apparently had a huge shell for protection in ancient times. It lives in shallow tidal pools. Platinum: Long ago, its entire back was shielded with a sturdy shell. There are traces of it left in its cells Two allusions to this Pokemon in 'ancient times' and 'long ago'. Do you suppose this could be a subtle hint of plans of turning Gastrodon into one of the next reverse evolution Pokemon in generation 5? Having it revert in evolution and gaining that supposed 'huge' and 'sturdy' shell? Maybe it'll inverse into a Water/Rock Pokemon? Or maybe a Water/Steel Pokemon with a large metal shell? Either way, I don't know if I'd get overly excited about it, but it could be kind of cool nonetheless. |

I kind of doubt they'll do anything with it. |
