What natures do you prefer? What natures do you avoid? What nature does your favourite Mon have? I'm trying to get a Naughty Abra and an Adamant Abra to decide which I prefer to keep in my party permanently. I already caught 7 Abras of various natures and am suprised at the variety of stats just based on natures. ![]() |

But I have to admit most of my mons in Plat turned out Brave natured by themselves including my starter. |

For example, Adamant raises Attack and lowers Special Attack, which isn't too good for your Abra. You'd probably want something more like Timid, which raises Speed and lowers Attack, or Modest, which raises Sp. Attack and lowers Attack. Basically, the best nature for a pokemon depends entirely on what stats it excels in. You wouldn't want to give a Skarmory a nature that raises Special Attack and lowers Defense. There's a really handy guide right here: Serebii.net Games - Natures |

I seem to be getting "bashful" a lot, but I prefer "brave" or "hardy", just because those sound like winners. The only specific choice I made between natures was with two Magikarp. |

Might be because I am such a faerie... In the end I just looked at all the Abras I have and chose the best one by it's stats at lv 10 (what I caught them all at!) and he is now a happy Alakazam with a Jolly nature!!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeee ![]() |

I once got an Adamant female Dragonite (Prime candidate for breeding to anyone who doesn't know) without trying anything as at the time I didn't know anything about EVs, IVs, and the like. The Dragonite turned out to be the best one I've had/have, and have had it for years. (It currently resides in my copy of Pearl, but I'm hoping to transfer it to Plat sometime soon.) I also once randomly got an adamant Swablu from the GTS, so that was cool. I also tend to like the modest and jolly natures as well. |
