Level 2 Caterpie's make me Grrrrrrr

So I've spent most of today looking for a Level 2 Caterpie. I've found Level 3's and Four, but not a single Level 2. The only Level 2 I've found is a Pidgy. Grrrrrrrr.

Okay, I know it doesn't make that bit a difference what level they are, but I always try and get the lowest level. When getting a pokemon, anybody else the same?

^ I don't. Been doing this since R/B/Y, before I even knew what EV's were...and to be honest I don't even EV train....It's just something I've always done.

Yeah, learning about the intricacies of the game engine half-ruins the game. =/

Another example that comes to mind is Final Fantasy VIII, where I always try to keep as low level as possible (enemies level as you level, but equip bonuses do not). It just makes for a less fun game since you're always doing the most frustrating thing because it's the optimal thing =\

Level 2 Caterpie's do not exist. The lowest level you can possibly find a Caterpie at in any generation is 3.

I'd trust Bulbapedia over Serebii.
