I know. I'm aware of where this is.

It's been a while since I've seen this place, I suppose. A month and a half, I suppose. Then less than two weeks later, bam. I don't know if a rock fell or I fell or what, but I've been out. For some stupid reason they decided to release all my Pokemon since they were unsure of my condition. So, I sued the hospital. They offered me compensation in the form of some mysterious item that I can call for at anytime. Suppose to be "THE GREATEST TREASURE IN THE KNOWN WORLD".

I hate Hoenn.

Again, someone my age SHOULD have his own room. Or, rather, anyone over the age of one. Not counting siblings.

It's not going to jog my memory. I already know what it looks like, thanks.

Oh well. Mothers will be overprotective.

Hrm, nothing from Kanto is in here. Damn. So much for proving I made it to the League Champion.

... I have a father?!!

I suppose I should find Birch. If nothing else he did offer to give me a replacement starter to help me get back on my feet.

Hello, good afternoon, and welcome to the reboot of Nuzlocke Emerald. I am your oh so humble, very handome, very desirable, INCREDIBLE host, Loot, and this topic is, once again, a Nuzlocke Let's Play of Pokemon Emerald.

Now, as I started in the other topic, I planned on making this more challenging as to not bypass any difficulty with any amount of grinding. Primarily, I will be using UU and NU tier Pokemon as defined on Smogon's lists.

NU (R/S) - Smogon University
UU (R/S) - Smogon University

Now, this is going to require myself to set some rules up, so here's what I'm-a to do.

1) I am to find the first UU/NU Pokemon and attempt to catch it.
2) If I find an OU or Uber first, I will simply keep searching.
3) If I already have all the NU/UU Pokemon that a new route has, I will allow myself to catch the first new Pokemon in that area, if only for collection purposes.
4) Nuzlocke rules are, of course, in effect. First catch one catch in each area only, release upon fainting.

On that note, to make things SLIGHTLY easier, I will pick my starter appropriately and use it, if only to be my champion.

i don't mean to belittle your challenge or anything but pokemon tiers basically don't matter over the course of regular play, because a: the difference in stats is less drastic b: a big part of their tiering has to do with movesets which will be mostly unavailable anyway.

...but zigzagzoons will still suck, so good luck with them.

tbh, man, it's not all about the challenge of having Mons that are lesser in stats, I'm more in this for getting a more diversified team. You don't really see Beautiflies/Dustoxes, you don't see Linoones, you don't see any of those going up against the Elite Four. Yeah, with the right movesets I more than likely can make it anyway, but it's more for having a more unique game experience, so I don't go "Okay I'm going to have Sceptile, Aggron, Salamence..."

Good to hear criticism, though, always worth to think about. Well, enough thought that should be put into a Pokemon game, anyway.

... You know what, that's a good point. This is just a story coverage LP. It probably doesn't matter in the long run with the stats. I can just easily make the team into whatever isn't often used out of my own decision if necessary.

So apparently it was Emerald that tweaked doubles so that you can choose to go into them more often. That's pretty nifty, doubles are actually really fun.

I haven't had a Rotation or Triple battle in Black, yet, I'm holding all judgment on that until I actually go into one.

I'd say walk it off, but you really look like you have a hard enough time standing.
