The trailer.

The director's webpage.

The rebuttal.

The New York Times's thoughts.

Will you watch? Why? Discuss.

The commercial I saw was hilarious.

"Now watch this drive."

But I won't see it. Moore can be funny, but he's way too extreme at times. I don't wanna pay 7.50 to see things I already knew or opinions I probably agree with already.

I might see it because I thought Bowling for Columbine was teh funnay. And I'm curious.

And oddly enough, I was going to post a topic about this in the movie forum...

Darn, you posted the Michael Moore Hates America link before I could, but watch the trailer, it's really interesting. Can't wait for this movie.

And it's also funny to note that Moore ripped the title off of some other guys book Fahrenheit 451, and the guy is pissed at Moore.

Um, L47, Fahrenheit 451 is a pretty famous book, everyone knows about it. And before someone else yells at you, I should tell you that calling it Fahrenheit 9/11 is just to parody the already famous Fahrenheit 451...-jay

Ah hell damnit leave the guy alone,
it's a free country damnit, so he can make that film if he wants too.
Oh wait... I forgot, this country only allows free speech if the man in power agrees with it....JESUS

I HAD to get that off my chest, even if it was COMPLETELY random

I didn't know the word "Fahrenhite" was copyrighted to one person's sole use.

I probably will watch this movie. Bowling for Columbine was pretty interesting. However, I'm not really impressed with his brand of political commentary.

Yes, because we all know that Michael Moore is the modern-day equivalent of a fascist dictatorship attempting to storm the world by force.

No, just roughly the same standard of truth and good judgement.

Sadly, the people who need to see it the most (people like Ditto) aren't, and they make up excuses for not doing it.

Personally, I think Moore is too "out there" for me. He needs to chill. I haven't seen or read anything by him, so I can't judge his works specifically. But I'm sure he gets facts from
credible sources (at least, I would hope.)

And Ray Bradbury needs to calm down.

Even so, I would watch a documentary blaming everything on the government and big business long before I watched a speech blaming everything on Jews, Communists, and everyone outside of Germany.

Absolutely.

^^ Ray Bradbury- famous sci fi author that wrote 'Farenheit 451'.

Unfortunately, some of the 'Michael Moore Hates America' type websites do provide some compelling evidence to the contrary.

The thing about Michael Moore is that, while he does tend to bend things to suit his own point of view, everything in his movies is generally based on facts.. even if they are.. er.. loosley interpreted. Now, his books on the other hand.. well, those are just the liberal equivalent* of Bill 'O Riely x 10.
