Problems i gotta do a thing for school about problems in the U.N. aand things they've done terribly wrong. i already got allot like oil-for-food and sex-for-food scandals, the lack of action in Rwanda, Sudan, Tibet, the Falun Gong and Northern Uganda and how the U.N. seems to care less about these things than Israel building a fence, how major human rights violators such as China and Sudan sit on the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, how African and Arab Dictators has alot of power in the U.N. so issues like Kurdistan will never be brought to the U.N.'s attention, how they like to throw money at problems, U.N. charities and peacekeepers almost never go where they're needed most, etc... anyways im pretty lazy so if anyone has any helpful things they'd like 2 add, that would be great. plz use U.N. numbers (i'd really like to know how many people have been killed in Tibet according to the U.N. cuz i cant seem to find it) thnx if you are a UN supporter, plz dont feel offended wasnt sure if this should be in politics or homework but i expect that this will cause alot of U.N. lovers to get mad and make political debate so if i got it wrong, go ahead and move it. |

Or the fact that the US sits on the Council for Human Rights, while simultaneously trying to redefine the definition of 'torture' so that it doesn't apply to them? The UN needs massive reform, I'll admit. Like scrapping the bloody Security Council Vetos for a start. |
