Liberal and Conservative Posters

I'm a little worried about the way both sides post in their debates here. It's typically the liberals that start it as well. Your bringing foul language and name calling into a debate to discredit your opponent instead of just putting your opinions out there. This isn't even most people, just a few, but I haven't seen one person try to stop anyone else for calling somebody names to discredit them, they generally tend to support them instead. Once again, its usually the liberals that are doing it. Most of those liberals who say the things/ don't say the things seem to be ardent supporters of free speech, and yet, there really isn't free speech here. If somebody comes on with a different opinion, civil debate happens for a little bit, and then they are incessantly flamed and called names in the process and name of "debate and free speech". Why do you think so few conservatives post on this forum? And typically the ones that do aren't the ones who can handle debates well, especially when they get angry? They aren't smart enough to not post or are too fed up with things to keep themselves from posting. I haven't posted here for two reasons, one because I lost my password, but I never tried to get it back because, two, I knew, being a conservative, that if I bothered posting I would be attacked. The only reason I've bothered to start a new account and start posting is because I found a website I feel must be put out here, but I can't post it until I have 15 posts, sucks but oh well. So now I plead to everyone out there to start conducting yourselves in a civilized manner, and that includes telling people to stop insulting somebody else in the posting of their opinions. You all know it happens in almost every topic when people post conflicting opinions. If you want to flame somebody or discuss something in such a manner, take it to the misc. forums or something. That is all I ask until I get my other topic up, but thank you for your time.

You can debate whatever you want. I try to keep up with petty namecalling and swearing, but I can't make anyone respect your opinions.

I know it would have been better timed than, but, I was going to post something important with a link and couldn't because of the 15 post count thing. Sucks

Anyway, I posted this in the meantime because it was something that has been bothering me since I started reading this forum god only knows how long ago. I know you can't make someone respect my opinions, but you know what I mean. Call people on the petty stuff, because that's where it all starts.

I understand what you mean, unfortunately you yourself closet-insult people named 'liberals' by claiming they are first to bring on the insults. Furthermore, your posting is all in one huge paragraph, which makes it really hard to read. I appreciate your concern, but I wish in the future that you use paragraphs, as otherwise it is really hard to read. This paragraph gives you an idea on why paragraphs are important--see how your eyes sort of drift away from the center? It's hard to keep track of your position out here, so I filled the middle of this paragraph with filler, as nobody will likely look at this. Anyway, this forum has a number of conservatives/conservative themes in it, however it is often lost in the context of the readily visible forums. If you look hard enough, I'm sure you'd find plenty of them

Yeah, I know, normally I do and will in the future type in paragraphs, but.... well to be honest I just wanted to be annoying, I like to be annoying, annoying is my thing, yes, it truly is, blah blah blah, do run on sentences bother you too? Sorry about that.

And my closet-insult, was not intended to be an insult. It was simply an observation and true from what I have seen. Same as what I said about conservatives. And yes, I started a sentence with and. Okay, two.

Now split up your post into something other than a wall of text and maybe you'll get a better response like "People who make things up, post fiction claiming its fact, ignore what people have said 30 times in the same thread, or otherwise act like a blithering idiot that stumbled onto a keyboard lose any right to respect."

Dear Concerned Debater,

Thank you for visiting VGF, your number one source for "OBJECTION!" jokes. As a liberal, I am amiss by what you have said in your perfectly reasonable post. For I do not name call in this forum. I try to present perfectly reasonable evidence to support my claims and back them up. When I do not do this, I am clearly making a joke in order to be funny, but I swear to God that I have never called a conservative a funny name unless he or she has called me a funny name first.

And speaking of conservative name calling, what do you think Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Bill O'Reilly, Bill Bennett, Sean Hannity, and Ann Coulter do for a living? Thought so. They lie and flame to people. And you do not seem to have any problem with that.

Your a friendly fellow as well; read above posts for answer to your ENTER key question. As to the rest of your post, fiction claiming its fact, it's my observation of what has happened here many times before. That's all it could be, figured that most people would understand things like that. What almost everyone says is their observation, which could be fact or fiction. I don't want to go through all these topics and bring up every post that does what I've said, I'm sure you wouldn't want to.

Fair enough CSM, but if I didn't hear it all the time I would be offended by your Ann Coulter, etc. etc. comment. I believe that what they do is wrong, and frankly there are just as many Liberal news media representatives that do the exact same thing. I never said that you were one that did the name calling. I even said that most people don't do the name calling, but people are just as guilty if they choose not to try stop something as if they do it.
