Too good/bad for the current events forum.

Most think founders wanted Christian USA - USATODAY.com

Seriously. What the hell is happening? This is in no way shape or form a Christian nation. -CSM

-_- I think I'm going to move to Canada. That poster I saw yesterday told me what they thought about the civil war but they actually make up 55% of the country? This is even stranger the poll that I saw yesterday.

According to most polls I've seen, this country is 90-something percent Christian.

I guess it doesn't really matter what the Founders thought about God.

Read the entire article. I want to bash my head against the wall until enough brain damage occurs that I forget those idiots could say things like that....or at least that I forget Britain's putting bleeping GPS chips in school uniforms and some Americans think it'd be a good idea here.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I only read one paragraph. When the page loaded I scrolled down too far so I only read one paragraph.

If only I could post attachments..... Oh well I saw an ad yesterday that read: " COME JOIN THE ARMY OF CHIVIlRAUS CRHISTIAN SOLDIERS!!! What was this for? A bad movie? A freaky church? No it was for a civil war battle reenacment.

Note: I know there is a spelling error or too in this post. I can't fix it due to this anyoying bug that this keyboard has every so often. I can't add any leters unless I want to retype everything that comes after it.

How the hell is the Constitution a "Christian document?" It specifically states things like FREEDOM OF RELIGION. I mean, it's kind of common sense that freedom of religion would pertain to, oh let's say, more than one.

There are plenty of terrorist groups. Hell, I'm terrified, and I'm not even in your crazy country.

Hopefully we'll still be allowed to believe in God in 2009.

^ Good one.

In all honesty though, this is absolutely terrifying.
That much ignorance is extremly dangerous.

I think I know some of the people who voted in the 55%. I don't know there names but they were deffienetly dumb enough. And probably religious.

What 55 percent are you referring to? Because, yeah, duh, they most likely are religious if they think that this is supposed to be a Christian nation...

Um... There's only one 55% in a poll. And not all religious people think that.

^I worded that incorrectly. Forgive me. What I'm saying that that those who voted in the 55 percent are most likely Christian, or else why would they think that?

Yes, I realize not all religious people think like that. I'm saying that the people who voted in the 55 percent are the ones that DO.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if some of the people who thought this was a Christian nation were atheists. You know, the kind of atheists who say, "This country's so religious, I'm such an outcast, nobody understands me I'm gonna run away and never come back ever..."

^Once again, my wording was bad. What the 55 percent refers to is actually people who believe the Constitution establishes a Christian nation. That, I think, is something that most atheists reject.

Not necessarily. Atheists aren't magically more informed than most people.
