Hillary and McCain win the New Hampshire primary

This is going to be long and tiring. -CSM

Apparently some number of women were influenced to vote for Hillary by her "emotional moment." Like that makes her more qualified to be president somehow. Bull****.

I really don't understand how people could see anything positive out of Hill's "moment". I saw one clip of it, and all I heard was "I'm sad because I wish I was president so I can help this country the way I want."

I mean...she sounds so egotistical. Crying because she wants to be president?

Gah. Hill just irrirates me to no end. It's so obvious that she's been calculating trying to become president for decades (I mean come on, Senator of New York? Obvious setup for a presidential run.) To me, she comes off as too much of a phoney. That's all it comes down to.

I really hope BO can pull this off... I really don't want to see President Hill for 4+ years.

(And no, it's not a woman thing. It's a HC thing. If *any* other woman was running for president...)

Hillary actually has some of the best credentials. I won't vote for her, though, because she's Hillary and she'll never win the general election. Obama better do well. And the worst part is Michigan is next, and the Democrats aren't counting the results of the primary there because Michigan moved it up. -CSM

Is there going to be a new topic every time someone wins a primary?

Wow, if she wins anything outside of this, I may actually leave the country. I can't have 12 straight years of dumbassery.

What might disturb me most is that, if Hillary wins, we'll have a 24-year period (1989-2013) in which only two last names held the office. I thought we weren't supposed to have a freaking monarchy.

I'm with you, Jay. She seems by far the slimiest of the serious Democrats. She insults and manipulates while Edwards and Obama stay above that behavior for the most part. I'll grant her the experience thing, but I'd rather have a candid, inspirational leader in the Oval Office than another regular politician, no matter how many bills she's signed.

Seriously, that may be the thing that sickens me the most. It's just so completely lame. It makes us (aka America) look like a bunch of moronic sheep. "Duuuh. We're too stupid to use our brains and vote for someone else."

Every time I hear BO speak, he just sounds so refreshing. A new face. Someone who hasn't been around politics forever. Someone who seems simply genuine.

It's a shame I can't vote in the MD primary since I'm independent...

(Not that it ever really matters, since the MD primary is always months after it's already over.)

But honestly, I have no idea what possesses people to vote for someone like the Big Hill. It's just sickening.

God dammit... I hate politics.

I'm in favor of open primaries. Iowa and NH both had them and the Democrats doubled the Republicans both times. -CSM

^^You don't have to be registered to take a primary ballot, at least not in Missouri. I'm independent, but I always take Democratic primary ballots.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

Missouri has an open primary? Wow, I should probably register there instead of NJ. I'd still vote for Obama, but I want to up the Democratic vote in an important state. -CSM

Neither does NY. I'm pissed.

Whatever. Obama still leads in the committed delegate count, and that's all that really matters anyway. Plus, he just got John Kerry's endorsement (which may mean a lot more than it seems).

Besides, how long can Hillary pop out tears? Her supply can't be that big.

It especially helps in a blue-strangled city like St. Louis, 'cause a lot of the local races don't even have Republican or Libertarian candidates, so the primary basically IS the election for those offices.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"
