Yeah, I feel as if that's the initial assessment, but I think that people only think that way because the College Dems (campus group) do a better job of putting themselves out there. Also, I suppose we're "liberal" in the sense that there are a lot of student-run groups here that have the sole purpose of helping marginalized peoples.

*shrug* Either way, I tend not to look at things through a political lens. I guess now that I've thought about it for more than a few seconds, we are skewed in the liberal direction a little bit, but it's not demonstrably so.

It's weird. At Michigan and UCLA the Republicans are more prominent, or so I hear, even though the student body is probably mostly Democratic. This is definitely the case at Wash U. -CSM

One of my friends comes from a real conservative family (Bush Worship + Gay Hate) and he's the biggest Liberal SOB I've heard of.

^^As I've lamented in the past, St. Louis is dangerously close to one-party politics; Democrats living within city limits are probably getting complacent.

^That's St. Louis for you. Of course I haven't been out into the one party politics of rural Missouri, which is basically one of the most conservative parts of the country (the Ozarks). -CSM

The Ozarks are only in the southern half of the state.
Oddly enough, Kirksville has pretty good balance.

^Yeah, I know. And St. Louis is only in the eastern part of the state. -CSM

Red face

Ponte Vedra survey says:

RRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNNN PPPPPAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUU(go obama)ULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

I drive by at least twelve Ron Paul signs a day. Last time we had a poll for president, it went about 54% McCaine, 37% Ron Paul, 9% other. Oh Florida, don't ever change.

Ron Paul FTW!!!

.....

My town is fairly moderate.

My county generally votes Democratic.

My college was/is heavily Democratic, but there were at least two Ron Paul supporters there (myself and one of my closest friends, who originally liked Rudy before I told him about Ron Paul) and a couple of my teachers were Huckabee supporters.
