John Kerry introduces High speed rail bill

Senator John Kerry's Online Office :: Releases

It's ambitious, and I would support the bill if it provided for federal oversight on how systems get built. It would provide funding for California's upcoming system and to put improvements on the NEC (please for the love of GOD fix that catenary so we can run REAL HSR up here....and fix up the CT portion)

I know this reeks of pork, but I think that whoever wants to put forth the effort for this should be eligible. Hell, if Texas wanted a serious commitment to it they should get funding, as should the Midwest. -CSM

^Where in Cally do you live? If it's near SF, check out the Bay Rail Alliance and you can help out some. -CSM
