Think Progress » Right winger’s argument against a right to health care: ‘Should food be a basic human right?’ Apparently this Republican commentator doesn't think so. Even though I am 99% sure food IS a basic human right. It's even listed in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, but then again, to conservatives, the UN is an anti-American organization bent on stopping America's right to rule the world as we see fit, right? -CSM |

Health care, food, and shelter. Even while trying to keep aid to a minimum, the risk of dependence is always there, which is obviously something that needs to be avoided as much as possible. |

Gender: Posts: 15,896 Thanks: 1,130 Thanked 1,919 Times in 1,046 Posts | ^^She wasn't fired for advocating racial profiling - yes, the article in question did just that, but being an opinion piece, she was well within her (misguided) rights to do so. She was fired for speaking to Arabic students at her schools and intentionally misleading them in their interviews to get quotations from them which she could then use in the piece to support her point of view (she said that they advocated racial profiling as well, or made some kind of statement that would imply that they supported her position). In other words, she was fired for breaching journalistic integrity; she abused her sources, took quotations out of context to purposefully distort them, and misled her interviewees. |

A cup of noodles is cheaper than disposing of a body in any case. |
