Lutherans to allow sexually active homosexuals as clergy

Lutherans to allow sexually active gays as clergy - Yahoo! News

I debated putting this in PP&R or Current Events, but I figure this forum is more encompassing.

^^Catholics have allowed gays into the clergy but not practicing gays. They don't allow practicing anything. It seems like only Southern Baptists don't allow gays into the clergy OR the laity. -CSM

Anyway this is good news. -CSM

All of these different sects of Christianity reminded me of this joke.

^I think the Mormons allow gay clergy so long as they're not practicing. I think Mormons have to take a similar vow of celibacy to Catholics. -CSM

Tell that to all the kids molested by Catholic priest pederasts. Removing, silencing, and hiding evidence seems like they've allowed it, not to mention the vast history of homosexual (and heterosexual) practices in the Catholic priesthood.

You get some of those in every sect, but I'd have to agree with you about not seeing many Christian Stereotype Lutherans. And I am one, so there's a little inside scoop for you.

But yeah, this article wouldn't be talking about the same Lutheran church I belong to. These would be the most liberal of Lutherans.

There are multiple Lutherans I know who use Fox News as the preferred news channel rather than MSNBC and CNN (my mom and dad included), but they're the type who hate every single pundit on TV anyway. Nobody who's like "SEAN HANNITY SAYS THERES A DEATH PANEL THERE MUST BE ONE".
