The anti-gay movement has now officially crossed the line.

.

Let the video speak for itself. And to think this is being said in New York City of all places. -CSM

This is merely a very large step past that line they've already crossed ages ago.

You mean to say they haven't crossed the line before?

The line was crossed a long time ago. They can't even see the line anymore, to be honest.

All that studdering made him look really dumb to me, I feel as if he would have made homosexuals susceptible to minor inconveniences if he couldn't think of that word he was trying to say.

"A-A-A-A-A-And they are also will have too much mayo on their hamburgers"

*Spanish Translation*

"They will have tacks stuck in their boots"

*Spanish Translation*

"A-A-A-A-A-And they will be the one at the party acting like a doofus with a lampshade on his head that everyone remembers."

*Spanish Translation*

The main difference is that here, this time, in New York City, of all places, they are openly preaching for the death of gays and by not speaking up, they're agreeing with the concept. Catholic organizations and Orthodox Jews were on hand and did not speak up. NOM (who famously said "we're not anti gay; we're pro-marriage") was on hand and did not speak up. This is the first time at a major rally (ie not Fred Phelps picketing) they talk about death for gays and prove that once and for all they are, indeed, a bunch of hate groups, and while they have their right to free speech, they are not welcome in New York City. -CSM

I find it sad that they think they're doing God's work when they say these things.

If they're Christian at all, they should see that they are doing Satan's work by doing such things as this! If they want to start a second Holocaust and put themselves down as bad as Hitler was, that's their own problem. But when it passes the point of only wanting it, that's just... horrible. Anyone who supports such a monstrocity should be imprisoned immediately. (And, no, I don't really care much about what the constitution says about that.)

Lev.20:13- "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

At least the guy's being honest. He's reading what is in the Bible (the same one we have witnesses and politicians swear on), whether you like it or not.

That guy's got such a cliche voice for this kind of rant.

Also, it's the white guy translating, not the Spanish speaking guy.

This, along with most of Leviticus, is morally abhorrent.

I have zero sympathy nor empathy for the anti-gay movement. There are no logical reasons behind it.

Well, he was actually reading verses from one of the Epistles of Paul in the New Testament, but those don't have much of a kind word for homosexuals either.

The majority of people that I have spoken to about the issue of homosexuality that oppose it can really give me no better reason then "no it's ewww" or for the more religious something out of the Bible. But I find the ones that say "well, I don't like their choice, but I don't hate the sinner" to be about as frustrating. Mainly because, if they reflected, they'd wonder why they are heteroxexual. Do they think gay people are gay just to piss them off? To rebel? Could they do that themselves if they wanted to? If a heterosexual man looked at photos of nude, attractive men all day, would they eventually "react" and become gay? Some of these people almost look at homosexuality as a competing religion, trying to make converts (especially out of good Christian children).

The religious just often end up stuck defending something terrible because it's the logical result of their theology. Instead of reevaluating their initial assumptions, they just go on feeling like they have to defend conclusions they probably know deep down are wrong.

I find it strange that those who are supposed to follow the religions that teach acceptance and not to judge others are the ones who are the most judging and often believe in the harshest penalties.

The idea that you can argue for the value of God's law is largely disrespectful, in part because you are assuming you can understand the complexity of God.

Hmmm... Do any of you guys read the gospels often? They often describe tension between religious groups. I'm a lot more inclined to think of these people as Pharisees, not Christians.

So I have issues with the word "Christian". HUGE issues. It's supposed to be derived from Jesus Christ. A lot of people are religious, but really don't echo the sentiments of Jesus.

It's interesting. Where I live, homophobia is akin to racism.

I disagree with Homosexuality, but I don't think anything like "GAY GENOCIDE" is really right for us to do.

What religion teaches acceptance? Sure, it's a good tagline for advertisements, but acceptance is not a big thing in any religion. People that believe other things are always the enemy. You can't accept what they believe, the best you can do is ignore it or tolerate them. Even then, you aren't supposed to associate with anyone who disagrees. They don't see things like this as a matter of opinion, but as a matter of good vs. evil.

Then again, acceptance isn't really a thing humans in general are good at. Can't blame religion for all of it.
