He could only prove himself fit for the job by ceasing to pursue it. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

I guess I didn't give him enough credit. I still don't expect him to beat Romney for the nomination, though. |

The bad news is, knowing that the primary was non-binding led many MO voters (my sister & father included) not to even bother voting today. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

I responded with, "I'm a registerred independent - last I checked, we weren't allowed to vote in caucuses. And if we were, we'd vote for Santorum to sabotage the GOP since we don't intend to vote for them anyways." |

I'd rather get the best possible candidate from each party to minimize how screwed we are in November, regardless of who wins. And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!" |

Which is why I "supported" Huntsman, who I still would not have chosen over Obama. Not that I would really consider Obama the best candidate from the Democrats, either, but he's kind of the default candidate (for rather obvious reasons), and I'm too much of a defeatist/practical person to vote for a third party candidate who I agree with more than either of the two major parties. Of the people left, I don't know who I would favor over the others. Santorum is easily my least favorite, and I'm much less than fond of the other three as well. |

As I mentioned before, I'd prefer a more progressive liberal third party candidate, but I'm not going to risk my vote in a swing state. If he's been a bit ineffective as a president, it's because the Republicans in congress have been dragging him down. Health care reform is probably the most important issue (among several issues) for me, and the Affordable Health Care act was most definitely a step in the right direction, but not as sweeping of a reform as it should have been. |
