What's The Most Expensive Game You've Ever Bought?

I don't mean "You bought Panzer Dragoon Saga when it was $20 and now it's $150, woo", I mean what game have you shelled out the most money for?

Also take into mind completion. $110 for a Suikoden II disc is probably considered more than $120 for a complete Valkyrie Profile.

For me, probably Mega Man X3. $50 for just the cartridge (yeah, I don't have anything super rare).

$150 for a complete Steel Battalion. It was a sweet deal. And it still broke the bank. Good thing it kicked so much ass.

$30 for Lego Star Wars.
Everything else was either Player's Choice or used or on sale or some combination of the three.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

How did you get X3 so cheap...?

I bought MMX2 and 3 (both in SNES version, mint condition, complete) for about $120 each at the same time. It killed my only credit card ever, and I've stayed away from the things ever since (credit cards, not games, you silly).

Of course, if you want to count most money overall, I bought Super Smash Brothers Melee a whopping four times over, for a total of about $180. And I still only have one disk. O.o;

Then again, if you count subscription games, I've spent over $250 to date on City of Heroes.

I only got the cartridge. I think X2 cost me about $30, again cartridge only.

Funny thing is, you'd think Mega Man X Collection would've killed the eBay prices of X3, but it didn't. First off, I guess people like the originals because the release of Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth on the PSP didn't even put a dent in the eBay prices of the original PSX version. Second, the version on X Collection is not the SNES version; it's the PSX/Saturn version. The music and I think the sound effects are remixed, the opening cinema is completely different, and when you select a maverick you get a little movie showing them doing something (like Neon Tiger is running around slicing down trees) instead of that ditty and the maverick appearing on the Doppler insignia, and IIRC that cutscene where Doppler sends Bit and Byte out it starts with a short movie of Doppler in his lab. The actual game and its graphics are identical to the SNES version.

Looking through completed listings, the prices of X2 are really erratic. Some are $10, some are $40.

the title is GAME, not object, electronics or data reading device.

I'm lucky the most I've ever spent on a game is £35 (I think that's about $70) when they're new. even the old snes games I used to get off ebay only cost about £10.
