I tried this at my school and hardly anyone would cooperate. So I thought why not bring it to VGF.Also if you don't like the choices then I'll hold a drill to your head until you answer.Capiche. A:microsoft B:nintendo C:sony ****HOLD IT! This poll has been officially hijacked by the VIDEO GAME HISTORY NAZIS. Your options consist of an abridged list of all the major players in the history of video game consoles. - A.I. Last edited by GRENTLEMEN; 01-19-2007 at 03:46 AM. |

[/sarcasm] Last year I would have said Nintendo, but now I'm really not sure. With the almost complete failure that was the Gamecube (Sales/Marketshare-wise), it seems they're slipping. I do have a Wii, but there aren't really that many good games for it (Twilight Princess, of course, and maybe another one), but I'm gonna wait until after spring comes with the strong lineup to see how awesome the Wiimote actually will be. Sony seems to be slipping too. Expense, manufacturing issues, and heavily pushing Blu-Ray could make this gen end up as their N64, IE changing of the leader. If Blu-Ray fails, they're basically screwed. Microsoft is making all of the right decisions, it seems. Cheaper, powerful, getting more games than countable, it looks like they're going to win this gen by far. Two companies are really gambling, while one seems to be keeping itself on the right path that made X-Box 1 an unlikely success. I'm going to have to vote for Microsoft. |

I grew up on this stuff and it never ceases to entertain me, even now. I could care less about the market, if it says "Nintendo" on it and is appealing to me, I buy it. My cousins are the Sony worshippers in the family and, like me, they absolutely have to have everything with the brand name. The only thing that realy appealed to me that Sony had, were the first three Resident Evils(all of which are available on Gamecube now) and some other random survival horror games that my cousins and I played(namely RE and Fatal Frame). |

But I really love all older game systems. The new ones lack some of the programming greats, and the charm of the grassroots pc-game industry. Still, Nintendo continues to produce dependable consoles with great games, even without their best 3rd party support. |

People don't care that Nintendo's losing it, that many of their newer games flat out suck. People just like it because it's Nintendo. And I am no different. ![]() |

| Her Hitler hairdo is making me feel ill | Why did I put Sega at second? SNK should be in that position. I'm so confused... |

Don't get me wrong i like older game systems.I mean you've never experienced true gaming til you've played super mario bros. ,or sonic the hedgehog, but I meant this thread to only be for new game systems. |

| Her Hitler hairdo is making me feel ill | But they have Neo Geo games, and that involves Metal Slug, so auto-win. |
