Oblivion is a hellish alternate dimension that can be accessed through Oblivion gates within the game.

Or do you mean the game itself? On the list? Well, it's more like an MSORPG: Massively Single-player Offline Role Playing Game. Although the Elder Scrolls series have always felt like MMOs that you play by yourself. Sure, there's a main quest to follow, but I always get lost in the open world and hundreds of other quests and things to do.
