I'm still saying Marvel, though. What can I say? Marvel makes 'Punisher MAX', which is about the best damn series I've ever even heard of. Add to that all the other Marvel crap I've been reading for decades, and DC can't compete. Oh, and anyone who mocks Dark Horse shames his father and his father's father. Be warned. __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |

I read one of them because a friend was raving about it, and...well, suffice to say, it wasn't really my scene. __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |

Well, it also gives them practically every story Alan Moore ever printed in comics. That's pretty fly! I sure do like the new Dark Tower series, though. |

And I'd probably be more impressed by 'Dark Tower' if I hadn't read the books first. __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |

Charyou tree, and all. Not to say I buy that line about them being better than the books. That does not fly. |

I didn't buy the books, but the art was there, and I'd be lying if I said the fight with Cort wasn't the cat's pajamas. [EDIT: I'm revising my earlier statement about Dark Horse--anyone who mocks DH has forgotten the face of his father. Snap. Told.] __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |

Like it's been posted, DC has Batman, and there are very few characters that can rival the depth of Batman's character and story. I mean, the guy's written as just a regular human with money, skills, and wit - which he uses to battle bad guys far beyond his strength and power. I'd rather see that than the beefcake superpower who can never be beaten. Then again, Marvel has the Fantastic Four and Spider-Man (whom aside from the crazy clone saga, and trying to get rid of Mary Jane - which they finally managed to do -) were also deep characters. Even though they have superpowers, the creators and writers made a good call on making them painfully human. Though what I'd like to see in the comics nowadays is a truly virtuous hero - THAT would be a breath of fresh air in todays culture with its blurred lines of justice and morality. That said, given the chance I'd choose Marvel - big Spider-Man fan all the way. |

Also Superman is my favorite hero of all time. And they have Green Lantern as well as Dr. Fate. __________________ Now every post can have headbangy goodness |

Many of whom went straight to Dark Horse and Marvel. __________________ Now every post can have headbangy goodness |
