The Bird and the Bee's "Carol of the Bells" is hauntingly beautiful, and Josh Groban's "O Holy Night" gives me chills and tears every time I hear it! |

My favourite Christmas song is a little calypso number called 'A Present for Sallie'. It's the heartwarming tale of a man who goes out drinking and partying on Christmas Eve and loses his wife's Christmas present; when he gets home, she sends him back out to find it, and he immediately goes back to drinking and partying. Then, when she catches up to him on Christmas morning, she beats him so badly with the rum bottles he emptied that he needs to be hospitalised. It's psychotic and hilarious, and it sounds terrific. |

Because this sounds an awful lot like the joke about the American guy who couldn't figure out why he kept hearing 'My Country, Tis Of Thee' when he was on vacation in Britain... |
