Ryu, winner of the first Street Fighter Tournament, VERSUS Sub-Zero, one of the most familiar characters of Mortal Kombat! Who shall win? Ryu Ryu, one of the strongest martial artists on earth! He is the main character of the Street Fighter series, and definitely one of the strongest. His two signature moves, the Shoryuken, and Hadoken. The Shoryuken is an extremely powerful upward punch. And Hadoken, Ryu's 'Fireball' attack, where he shoots a beam out of the palm of his hand. Sub-Zero The Ninja of Ice, and one of the most popular fighters of Mortal Kombat. He's been known to be very violent to his opponents, as we've seen him ripping out the spines of his enemies in the first installment in the Mortal Kombat Series. He can also shoot out beams of ice from his hands, and can freeze his opponents by blowing cold, freezing breath. So, who do you think will win? Ryu, the Martial Artist, or Sub-Zero, the Ninja of Ice? Make your vote. |

Gender: Posts: 7,213 Thanks: 373 Thanked 760 Times in 447 Posts | I don't know, is Ryu truly the main character of the Street Fighter series? He used to be, but now I don't think they really focus on him as much as anyone else. I mean, Chun-Li is a huge important character, couldn't the same be said for her? Except R. Mika, she doesn't belong in there. The original two were Ken & Ryu, doesn't that mean it could be either/or? ps, ryu |

EDIT: Also SK, Ryu was the only playable character in the original street fighter. In SF2 there where more characters and ryu was no longer the hero, but hes still the series most recognizable character, even if Chun-Li is really close. Ken would take a distant third. |

I mean just look at the guy, he looks total kick ass...nuff said, really. |

Who is "Street Fighter"? The generic guy that shows up in the opening of SFII? Also, what makes him the official main character of SFII? Wasn't it canon that Chun-Li won? Wouldn't the focus be put on her? I think we discussed this. I mean, honestly I don't *want* to argue this, because I'm seen the SFII Anime (and read a Manga series, but it wasn't really related), and I'm fairly certain that it isn't canon. It's not that I want to argue, I just want to straighten it out for myself. | |

Actually nobody won, since bison was assassinated, but otherwise Guile would have won. |
