Bowser or Ganondorf?

I had to do a randomized game type of thing involving a calculator in order to pick.

Bowser is awesome. Ganondorf is ugly as hell.

Ganon has Bowser beat, IMO. He actually gets stuff DONE.

Bowser: Uses army to kidnap Peace, then sits in a castle where he has obvious traps set up so Mario can kill him.

Gannon: Actually focuses on taking over Hyrule first, then starts kidnapping people. Usually has some kind of force field up around his fortress, so Link can't even get in until he's killed all of Gannon's minion bosses. When you get in, he often has more bosses for Link to kill, and then when they finally get to fighting each other, can take huge amounts of hits from weapons that killed everything else almost on contact.

Not much competition there.

I doesn't really matter, they both lose in the end.

But I picked Bowser, because he can breath fire.

Really, man? I mean, Ganondorf could probably summon fire at will, anyway. Possibly even breathe it if he wanted to that badly. Not that I disagree with your preference for Bowser, but I honestly think that's some weak reasoning.

Ganondorf is my personal favorite villain. Regardless of his 'ugliness' and lack of 'SPIKES', he's quite possibly one of the few (if any) Nintendo villains with motivation, character development (albeit mostly in the form of NEW PLAN NEEDED NOW, STALK DIFFERENT LINK), and an actual workable plot to take over the world. I mean, sure, he gets beaten because otherwise the games would suck, but Ganondorf is just damn badass. There's a whole, ginormous argument that Wyborn made about Ganondorf a long time ago that, despite irrelevance unless used in a "who could kick whose ass" topic, pretty much sums every awesome thing about Ganondorf there is. I grew up thinking Ganondorf was cool, I still think he's cool, he's the only character I'll let myself play on Brawl... He's such a large piece of my childhood and of my fanhood for the Zelda series. As such, I could never, despite the awesomeness of the Paper Mario Bowser, say Ganondorf would be toppled by anyone, much less a fire-breathing turtle.

^ WW Ganondorf was probably my favorite, most for his portrayal as a semi-sympathetic character and his actual depth as a person.

Damn, I knew I had some angle for my "Character Development" thing. You're right, WW's Ganondorf had a lot more substance than the other two console incarnations. He was also quite the boss fight, miles ahead of that pathetic OoT battle.
