What's your favourite close-combat weapon from games in terms of style?

poleaxes are the most awesome weapon ever. its like a pole (kungfu staff wielders = awesome) and an axe (axes are awesome). bonus points if the wielder has ridiculous movie-style karate moves and can jump really high. double bonus points if he pole vaults into the air to kick a dragon in the face, then cuts his wing off (because its a pole axe so it can reach the wings from the face duh)

Point-blank double-barrelled shotgun blast to the face is always awesome, rivalled by point-blank double-barrelled shotgun to the back. Not exactly melee attack per se, but you do accumulate lulz watching some newboy fail at sniping someone across the map with a shotgun.

I think there's something to be said for the humble improvised bludgeon. I'm strangely delighted whenever I see a character just pick up a two-by-four or a tire iron or something and beat the crap out of everyone in the world with it. It's badass.
