How about deleting members that have 0 posts on the forum?
Not NEW members, but old members that are just spam.

It clears up server space, for one. Also, the less people who came but never did anything you have, the more incentive for new people to come and do things.

That would be A LOT of filtering unless there's such a function for VB 2.0. If there isn't a function then it would take quite a while to go through the list and see which ones to delete and which ones to keep. This is something Shane SHOULD'VE kept up with, but decided not to give a damn instead.

There's no real reason for this, if you delete it from the database, it's going to save at most 5 megabytes (I think).
